PREFACE: While the clients loved and green-lit this idea for production, we encountered some snafus with a manufacturer, legal issues, and our timeline. Sadly, this didn't make it out into the real world, but nevertheless, it was a fun one for the vault.

As summer approaches, it's time to lean into the lightness with the beer of the season: Blue Moon Light, brewed with real tangerine peel. How? By literally soaking up the brightness for a lighter you. Introducing “Lightening In a Bottle” A limited edition, Sun-In inspired, 1980’s heyday, citrus-based hair-lightener.

We were looking to capture that nostalgic vibe of the 80s, the kind you can feel even if you weren’t there. So what better way to launch this than a commercial filled with all the charming and over-the-top tropes of 80s hair ads? Think distinctive graininess, dramatic lighting, slow motion—the whole shebang. Peep our script and moodboard below:
