PROBLEM: 1 in 4 women are victims of domestic violence. When escaping this trauma, most turn to hotels as a refuge from danger. However, hotels require a name, ID, and credit card to make a reservation, leaving victims' identities exposed and, therefore, vulnerable to being found by their abusers.
SOLUTION: ReloShare launched Alias Hotels, the first hotel booking platform designed to help victims stay anonymous. The platform, accessible by social service agencies, circumvents name and ID requirements by generating an alias name for every reservation booked.
To help build the network of hotels, we targeted the decision makers who have the real power to change hotel policy: individual hotel franchisees. Using A.I. technology, we transformed their target audience’s personal data into personalized videos designed to create a connection to the problem, build empathy for these victims, and empower businesses to help save lives.
